Offering a completely free service to employers who want to employ students on a part time basis during University term times or for any number of hours during university vacations.

There are no hidden charges.

Please contact us if you can offer work to our students.

The Students\' JobShop is a non-profit organisation based at Aston University, located just minutes from Birmingham city centre.  One of our aims is to highlight the existence of students as a valuable resource for local employers.

If your organisation has part time jobs please let us know. We will need details about the type of work on offer, the location, the hours involved, the rate of pay and how to contact your company.

Your advert will be placed onto our notice-board and onto our website. The advert will remain open for a 4 week period unless you contact us to say that the vacancy is filled. After 4 weeks the advert will automatically be removed. If you want to renew the advert, just let us know.

How many hours can a student work?

The maximum number of hours that it is appropriate for a student to work will vary according to individual circumstances and the timing and nature of the work, but typically would not be more than 15 hours per week during term time with a maximum of 20 hours per week. Therefore the Students\' JobShop only advertises jobs offering part time work in term time. There is no restriction to the number of hours students work during vacation times.
