The Crimes
Influences as diverse as The Kooks, The Chilli Peppers and Led Zeppelin may give the impression that this band’s sound may be confused. Not the case.....The Crimes have an energetic, uplifting and upfront sound that has made people take notice. Formed in the early part of 2008, they have made quick progress and already have a big following in their home city of Birmingham.
The Crimes’ catchy and energetic vibe stems from their charismatic front man Seb Tree, who alongside guitarists Nicky and Flynn, Paul on the bass, Tom on the drums and percussionist Sidders draws listeners in like a moth to a flame.
Brothers Seb and Nicky have been writing music together for almost ten years and this, along with the song writing talents of Flynn and Paul, has allowed the band to create a fresh and diverse sound which has made people take notice.
Drawing from so many influences you’ll find it hard to pigeon hole The Crimes into a genre, which keeps their sound original and groundbreaking. They’re determined to make their mark in the music industry and by the sounds of things they are doing just that.
