► Student Batch Scheme

The Student Batch Scheme
If you are looking for a good way of renewing your student visa, why not use the Batch Postal Service scheme run by the Guild’s Advice & Representation Centre?

Your application will be sent to the UK Border Agency (Home Office) by recorded delivery with other student applications which are being renewed at the same time.

The visa will normally be returned to the Advice & Representation Centre within about 5-8 weeks, although at busy times of the year such as October, it may take considerably longer. The length of the process depends on how quickly you make the appointment to have your photo and fingerprints taken for the UK identity card. The UK Border Agency send you a letter asking you to make the appointment once they have received your application.
To use the batch scheme you should be enrolled on a course at Aston or have an unconditional offer for an Aston course with proof that you have accepted the offer. Unfortunately you may not use Aston's Batch scheme if you have enrolled on a new course at another college or university.
You will need to have completed the visa renewal form called the Tier 4 (G) and to provide your University visa letter and your bank statement so please do not wait until the last moment.  You are likely to need an appointment to see a member of staff so please book this in advance by phoning 0121 204 4848 or by calling at the Advice & Representation Centre on a weekday between 10 am and 5 pm ( 10 am to 4 pm on a Friday)
Posting dates are
Every Wednesday at 12 noon with the cut off date/time being 24 hours earlier: Tuesday at 12 noon because each application has to be checked, scanned, listed and packed by the Advice & Representation Centre before it can be posted.

â–ºThe Advice & Representation Centre will only accept applications for the Batch Scheme which are paid by postal order. This is the only way you can guarantee your method of payment will not be refused. Please go to a post office and buy postal orders   to the value of £357 payable to ‘Home Office’. Please write your name, nationality and date of birth on the back of the postal order above the section about gift aid.
